Felix and Fingers were back in Elgin, Illinois, only this time to perform at The Haight wedding reception. The Haight is a swanky and cozy venue. The Haight is one of our absolutely favorite venues. In fact, The Haight is uniquely beautiful and offers some of the friendliest staff in town. It’s actually incomparable. Furthermore, this facility offers room for 250 seated guests, two rental floors and even a roof-top deck based on weather. To begin with, Alex and Mike had us play beautiful love themes from major motion pictures for their ceremony prelude music. This was a neat way to obtain a more “classical” sound without actually hearing Bach. Don’t worry though, we HANDEL-D IT perfectly!
Thunderstruck by a Night of Fun
Catering at The Haight is ALWAYS outstanding. Both grooms thought food stations would be tasty and fun. The stations were indeed a HIT. From sliders to french fry stations, to gyros and pita chips everything was delicious. We may of may not have visited the mac n’ cheese station twice! Furthermore, the grooms opted out of a traditional wedding cake and brought in an AMAZING sundae bar. We had FUN creating a banana split! Once we started DJ’ing, the grooms requested everyone grab a fresh drink to play the Thunderstruck drinking game. This game ended up being a hysterical bomb of the night!
Alex and Mike asked for Paper Rings by Taylor Swift as the first song of their dance set. From that moment on, the dance floor was PACKED. Felix and Fingers brought comedy and laughter to their dueling piano show with a roast on the groom. Hence, a few light roasts had our audience in stitches! What is more, 90’s music and Lizzo were the biggest hits of the night. A favorite request by the grooms was Come On Eileen by Dexy’s Midnight Runners. Felix and Fingers LOVED this song choice for The Haight Wedding Reception grand finale. In the end, it was EPIC!
