The Colton Underwood Legacy fundraiser provided a fantastic opportunity for family, friends and colleagues to make a difference. This amazing event brought people together who shared a vision with former NFL player Colton Underwood, while raising funds towards finding a cure for cystic fibrosis. Each year, thousands of like-mined individuals join forces and put together this spectacular event in the fight against CF. Our performers packed up and headed out to play at the Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino, located in Peoria, Illinois. Felix and Fingers were excited in being part of an exciting fundraiser for a GREAT cause!
Colton Underwood Legacy Fundraiser Peoria
The Par-A-Dice Hotel Casino offered guests Las Vegas excitement with the finest central Illinois hospitality. Guests arrived to a beautifully decorated ballroom within the Par-A-Dice hotel. A bonus for our show was the offer of complimentary state-the-art audio/visual equipment. In fact, they also offered free wireless internet. Our performers for the Colton Underwood Legacy fundraiser were Mike Pott’s and Duncan Parker. Most definitely our top two, high energy performers that put the FUN in fundraiser! It wasn’t hard to come up with an ice breaker for cocktail hour. Being this event was held by a popular NFL player Colton Underwood, we couldn’t resist playing the NFL Theme Song originally composed by Scott Schreer. Guests eventually made their way through butler passed hors d’oeuvres, placing request slips on our pianos and tips in our jars. In fact, it was’t long before guests were dancing to songs such as Keep Me in Mind by the Zac Brown Band. An awesome chorus group sang out loud on the floor having a great time!
An Interactive Evening
For dinner, guests were indulged with a mouthwatering steak from Boyd’s Steakhouse located within Par-A-Dice Hotel and Casino. Boyd’s also carries an extensive list of wines and single malt scotch to pair your meat extravaganza with. The lull and roar of the room during dinner was accompanied by soft instrumental jazz as guests mingled through dessert. Someone knew what they were doing when they ordered hundreds of delectable cupcakes for dessert. We took our red velvet cupcake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
A fundraiser is not complete without some reach deep in your pocket competitive games. Much to our delight we had a chance to play a few interactive games with the football players. We have never felt so SHORT in our entire lives! When it takes two of us to hold a toilet seat in the air for a football player to toss a toilet paper roll through, we knew it was going to be a GOOD TIME! Each roll that made it through the toilet seat brought $100 to the Colton Underwood legacy fundraiser. Furthermore, a large portion of donations came from everyone wanting to hear I’ll Stand By You by The Pretenders. We thought it was fitting.
