The Wedding at the Onion Pub and Brewery was a fabulous event in a beautiful taproom located in Barrington, Illinois! Felix and Fingers returned to The Onion Pub and Brewery to appreciate the recycled pre-American timber structure and a beautiful waterfall that flowed past the outdoor patio! The Onion Pub and Brewery offers a locally sourced dining menu! Fireplaces and flagstone adorn this 11,000 square foot facility with a cellar and packaging complex directly below the bar! The Great Hall boasts a immense, glass timber frame cathedral ceiling that overlooks an 11 acre lake! Bistro string lights adorn the outside patio to add a warm glowing ambiance during the evening hours! The bride had made an amazing aisle runner to walk on for the ceremony! The aisle runner boasted hundreds of petals individually glued onto the runner fabric! Kudos to the attentive staff, as always they made sure to meet all the guests needs! There were plated soups and salads. There was a buffet of entrees consisting of beef, salmon and chicken. Guests enjoyed quality dining while sipping on custom brewed ales and lagers. The bride surprised everyone with the grand appearance of a very large fake cake! It looked so real it fooled everyone! This fake cake was a first for Felix and Fingers, we have never seen anything like this before!
Old School Mix with Contemporary Hip Hop
This fun loving crowd really enjoyed the interactive nature of our show! We started out with some great old-school rock and roll songs. Into the evening we transitioned into more contemporary and hip-hop songs to keep the dance floor moving! An amusing choice for the reception song was Dancing in the Moonlight. The amusement was because the first lyric of the song is “We get it on most every night”. A nice surprise for the bride and groom was when we decided to take all of our requested song tips and donate the money to their “Honeymoon” fund!
