A redone, revamped garage was the place to be at a recent public event in McHenry, Illinois. Guests flocked to this great venue to celebrate their one year anniversary. Felix and Fingers had the honor of performing for the Smith’s Central Garage Event and had an absolute blast here. Smith’s Central Garage Event
This public event, which was ticket free, drew a crowd of 400 people. Guests walked into an auto-themed room that included a beautiful, full bar. From the moment we walked in, we knew that this space would be great for a variety of events. A unique part of this venue is that it included a huge sliding garage door, and kept many aspects of the old garage. The old charm of garage radiated throughout the venue, but still had a very modern look to the venue. Lights strung across the ceiling illuminated the room as guests sat throughout the chairs spread throughout the room.
The setup allowed for us to have a very interactive show at this Smith’s Central Garage Event. Guests came prepared with lots of requests, and with the large number of people that came, it gave us a variety of tunes to perform. One of our favorites of the night ended up being “Twist and Shout” by the Beatles. It had a lot of the crowd singing, clapping, or dancing along to the music. In fact, by the end of the night, the crowd shifted to having a full blown dance party! Many people started moving some of the chairs out of the way to make more room for dancing. It was a great way to end a great event. We hope to be back!
