A beautiful and unusually warm and sunny October day greeted us for the special day of Matthew and Katie at an Arrowhead Golf Club wedding. The Arrowhead Golf Club is located in Wheaton, IL which is one of the many western suburbs of Chicago. The lawns of the golf course have been well-kept and green, dotted with large trees, small pools of water, and winding paths around the property. We saw a lovely outdoor patio on our way in as well. I can imagine it is usually buzzing with activity during the warmer months. Felix and Fingers delighted in the opportunity to perform at such an incredible venue.
Arrowhead Golf Club Wedding
With the lovely weather and beautiful grounds, it was almost a shame that we couldn’t have the celebration outside. However, the inside looked just as elegant as the outside did. Gorgeous flowers decorated the tables and framed the couple wonderfully as they exchanged their vows. All of the colors flowed together, and everything was very well put-together. The staff provided an excellent service and many guests received steak dinners for their meal. What a treat! After a great meal and toasts, we proceeded to the dance floor.
Energy All Around the Dance Floor
An energetic crowd makes for an energetic and lively evening. The crowd at this Arrowhead Golf Club wedding filled the room with their energy. The reception hall and dance floor provided great space for the crowd to bust some moves. We love to see guests smile, dance, and sing along to a variety of different hits. We always come prepared with songs, but our shows always take requests and because of this, it makes it a unique experience and gives great memories for each group we play for. One song, “Pride and Joy” by Stevie Ray Vaughn had the bride and her father joyfully dancing around the dance floor. Everyone could feel the love and joy that these two shared for each other. They wanted to join in the fun themselves!

Later, we got down to the song “Shout”. We would cut out and turn the microphone to the crowd shouting the lyrics. They ended off that song with a bang and finished it out with a big “hey-ey-ey-ey!” We wanted to get out and dance and shout along with them! The guests had been dancing all night, yet that didn’t stop their energy one bit. To finish the night, the whole crowd formed a group hug around the bride and groom as we played out the Felix Finale of “Piano Man” – an incredible way to end a fun and beautiful evening.
