Loves Park Dueling Pianos Fundraiser for St. Bridget School

Loves Park Il, next to Rockford, is a very popular area for our dueling pianos events. Come March we’ll be in the middle of Catholic school fundraising season, and St. Bridget welcomed us to their school for this annual fundraiser.

Right next to Rockford Il sits Loves Park. This suburb of Rockford has found Felix and Fingers performing a dueling pianos show for many weddings and corporate events, though this was our first Catholic school fundraiser in town. And where as Loves Park has a number of venues and golf clubs great for events, St Bridget kept this fundraiser close to home by hosting it in the school cafeteria.

Church school fundraisers sometimes make me nervous.  Dueling pianos is an all request based show and we thrive on audience interaction.  The better the audience, the more fun we can have.  Church crowds don’t always make me think “high energy” or especially outgoing.  St. Bridget was different – these people had fun!  But that started with the priests…

In addition to a live auction that was selling parking spaces and front row seats to Christmas and Easter services (great idea), the priests would sell nerf gun parties to play in the chapel. When the leadership has a sense of humor, it seems to permeate the entire congregation, and this was apparent from the get-go. One of the priests was a trained Irish dancer as well – you can bet we raised some money to get him front and center to show off his skills!

Dueling Piano Fundraisers

This fundraiser was an absolute blast.  And being able to adapt to any crowd, even the trained Irish dancing crowd, means we can work to make each event truly unique.  Making the audience a huge part of the how is something we prioritize, and that’s key to a memorable show.  If you’re having an event, wedding, or fundraiser, we’d love to hear about it.
