Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos is the only dueling pianos company in the US to have received both Best of The Knot and WeddingWire’s Couples’ Choice awards for the past 10 years straight!  Weddings are a bit of our specialty and we strive to prove, with any opportunity, why we are consistently the most and highest reviewed Dueling Pianos Company, period.

With all our wedding experience (typically between 3-8 weddings per weekend), the Felix and Fingers team has been working hard to put out consistent blogs on our website.  Some blogs are about past shows, while others are designed to help our brides and grooms plan and prepare for their big day.  When the majority of our clients have never seen dueling pianos at a wedding before, it’s  understandable that a certain nervousness can creep in.

The Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos Blog is here to put those concerns at ease 🙂

If you want to see what a dueling pianos event is all about and meet two of our performers, click here to get a link and next show time. We host these events daily and will have our team in the chat to answer your questions in real time!

Wedding Blogs

Wedding blogs are by far the most prevalent type of blog on our site.  With the company being able to serve 4 weddings in a single Saturday, there’s no shortage of material to write.  And although not every wedding gets blogged about, visit our blog any time and you’re sure to find hours of material to read through.  Specifically, check out the summer months (June/July/Aug/Sept) where our blog is dominated by descriptions of venues, receptions, and why dueling piano weddings are so much fun!

Or if you’re looking for some general blogs about the show, how about an answer to one of our FAQs, “will people dance”?  Yes!  Read it here 🙂

We also play plenty of corporate events, and even though the show might not directly relate, maybe you’re sharing the same venue?  Just use the search box to locate blogs about particular venues (if we’ve been there before).

Resource Blogs

Let’s get to the good stuff, the blogs that can actually impact your wedding planning!

As professional event planners, we love fielding your questions.  We fully understand that most of our clients have never planned a wedding before, and seeing as we help plan many weddings every week, we’re always happy to weigh in on your concerns.  Aside from having an unbelievable event coordinator (Jessica – office@felixandfingers.com), we continue to write blogs to address the frequently asked questions.   Here are some blogs to help you with the booking and planning process!

Hire Dueling Pianos

Here are two blogs currently on our site about my favorite topic, why I think dueling pianos is one of the best decisions that can be made for your wedding.  First up is a top 10 list of why a dueling pianos wedding is such a great option as written by Emily Henderson.  Second is a real life horror story of a wedding that I (Fingers) attended for a friend of mine, which inspired me to write about how to pick the right band for your wedding.

How to pick the right Wedding Band or Wedding Entertainment Company

Or don’t take our word for it, here’s a Huffington Post article recommending dueling pianos as a great entertainment alternative to the typical DJ or Dance Band:

Looking for an Itinerary or sample timeline?  We have one, but start here with our general wedding overview:

And lastly, you want a full fledged review from a bride who knows.  Ask Jessica, the Felix and Fingers Event Coordinator!  F&F played her wedding, and though she might be biased, she wrote a blog about her experience as a bride with a dueling pianos entertainment decision.  Read it here!

Or a video from a very happy Bride and Groom 🙂

Who Are Felix and Fingers?

Below are a few more blogs to help you get a feel for our style!  Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos is a company that specializes in bringing dueling pianos to weddings, corporate events, and fundraisers, so you can expect a lot more when you book us than if you were to book a “bar” dueling pianos show.  Part of what makes us different is our professionalism, part is our energy and enthusiasm, and another part is a general love that we have for our job!  There’s nothing better than taking a Bride and Groom’s day from great to phenomenal, and it’s our job to make this happen every weekend.

Let’s start with the players!  If you haven’t yet picked your players – check out their videos here!  Felix and Fingers is perhaps the only dueling piano company (with more than two players) who will guarantee specific performers for your event.  We’ll even put that on the contract!  It’s always subject to availability of course, so be sure to get your requests in early!  Likewise, since we do have a company of performers, on the rare occasion that someone is too sick to perform, we always have backups ready to go!

One way we can add to your event is through our “add ons”.  There is a pdf that is sent with every quote and the blog below was written to more accurately describe the additional services we offer.  Send us an email if you’re interested in any of these options.

Or how would you like to get in the mind of one of our performers – Mike Sherman?  Yeah, I wouldn’t want to either, but he had a great time writing a blog about some of his favorite tunes to perform at weddings.  If he’s on your booking, be sure to make these requests!

And finally, for all of your friends and family who have never heard of dueling pianos, maybe send them to the link below.  Here’s a bit about the history of the entertainment over the past 100+ years.

Ceremony and First Dance Music Recommendations

By far, the most common questions that come in are clients looking for recommendations on music.  Be it ceremony music for a Brides processional, or the first dance between the newlyweds, I find myself giving recommendations as late as hours before the wedding.  Hopefully this blog series below will help give you some direction in your music decisions.  And if these don’t help, the rest of the internet is just a Google search away!

And check back often as this blog will be continually updated with new resources for our Brides and Grooms to utilize!  Happy Planning 🙂
