Sometimes a request comes up and I’m excited to get it. Believe me… there are plenty of songs that I’d rather eat a stapler than play (cough….Don’t Stop Believing….cough), but there are a lot of songs that make me smile when they get requested. Here are a few of them
Paradise by the Dashboard Light
I don’t know why I like this song so much. It’s long, kind of silly, and my hands will be breaking by the time it’s over, but I just get a big kick out of playing this. Especially when people are dancing to it!
Hit Me Baby One More Time
I just laugh whenever I get this, or another classic Britney song. Something about pretending to be a schoolgirl must just amuse me…
Gangnam Style
I think people usually request this as a joke, but when we play it, and they all start doing that dance, we show them why we’re the best in the business.
Semi-Charmed Life
This song just makes me happy. I try to pretend it’s not about doing meth.
Silver
I’ve never actually gotten this request, but if I do someday I’ll be quite pleased. I hear one of my partners actually wrote it.
The Real Slim Shady
If you ever see Greg and me do a show, request this. I’ll rap it, and Greg will just look giddy the whole time.
The Ballroom Blitz
This song is just fun.
