The Memorial Union Great Hall was the setting for this UW Madison wedding. Even if you’re not a University of Wisconsin fan, you will definitely appreciate all that this venue has to offer. We here at Felix and Fingers sure did!
UW Madison Wedding Event
The Wisconsin Union at the University of Wisconsin Madison can help you plan all types of events. They have two unique buildings to choose from. In addition, they will help you find space at other spots around campus or in the general area. Nicolette and Daniel chose the Memorial Union Great Hall for their wedding day and it was just divine. You won’t be disappointed with this venue. Their catering services are outstanding. While everything was topnotch, we have to choose the mini brats for a late night snack as one of our favorites. Or perhaps the Spotted Cow beer on tap? Hard to choose between all of the traditional Wisconsin fare. The service was also excellent and we hope to see them again soon.
Pre-Selected Party
Our bride and groom had sent us a pre-selected song list of what they wanted to hear on their wedding day. This is helpful as we then have an upfront idea of the musical direction the evening will take. And not only did we have the bride and groom’s choices, but they had provided us with a list of their guest’s choices too. 
There was a lot there but don’t worry, we fit it all in! And they were specific as to which songs we would be playing or which ones we would be DJing. Very organized and helpful, Nicolette and Daniel. Thank you!
We played their first dances with a solo piano. With the ethereal setting, romantic piano sounds, and only one couple dancing, you could hear a pin drop. It was really quite stunning. Finally though, the party heated up. We were a bit worried that we might have empty dance floor space since we were playing for four hours but not with this group. These guests rocked it all night long. Finally at midnight, we had to call it quits but we’re pretty sure they would have kept on dancing as long as we could play. Sorry guys, sometimes we have to stop as the venue staff and our other vendors want to call it a night.
