If you’re searching for an amazing outdoor festival, head out to the Pontiac Parkapalooza Dueling Piano show in Pontiac, Illinois. Every summer, Humiston-Riverside Park hosts a fun-filled day starting with a Color Blast 5K run. Last year we closed out Parkapalooza with our show. This year (our 4th year back), was an earlier time slot and we had an amazing turnout! Everyone loved us so much last year they came back this year with all their friends and family!

Pontiac Parkapalooza Dueling Piano Show Illinois

Pontiac Parkapalooza Dueling Piano ShowIt was hot, packed and FUN! The Pontiac Parkapalooza Dueling Piano show was a hit at the FIRST Humiston-Riverside Park festival. This was our 4th time back, and the crowds were growing with each return. We were excited to perform in the year-round outdoor performing arts center built in Humiston Riverside Park.  If you would like to attend a concert at Humiston-Riverside Park check out their events calendar here.

With the never ending stream of insta-famous acts, Felix and Fingers draw HUGE crowds on a daily basis. Actually, Felix and Fingers are proud to say we are the internet’s  #1 rated dueling piano show. Of course we are going to bring large audiences to any event! Humiston-Riverside Park put on one heck of an outdoor party with games, music and delicious food! Nobody leaves hungry from this event. Everywhere you looked, vendors were selling their pizza’s, sandwiches, brats and fresh squeezed lemonade.

The new stage location this year was amazing. In fact, the domed shade saved us from passing out on this blistering day in July. Our performers were impressed the heat didn’t stop this crowd from dancing like crazy. To begin with, our performers started the show with Fire Burning by Sean Kingston. We found that song appropriate considering it was only 100 degrees.

Humiston-Riverside Park Fun Day

Pontiac Parkapalooza Dueling Piano ShowWhen a local park holds an outdoor festival, there’s sure to be kids. Lots of kids. To be honest, maybe more kids than adults. We only say this because it was the kids making requests this year that had us playing Baby Shark with an evil spark in our eye. Although to our surprise, it seemed the adults couldn’t resist singing “doo doo doo doo doo doo” when “Baby Shark” came through our speakers! And the wee one’s need to jam to Elsa when we belted out Let it Go showed us the spunk our young crowd could produce.

After we wore out the youngsters, song requests such as Don’t Stop Believin’ by Journey and Boom Boom Pow by The Black Eyed Peas stated showing up on our pianos. We were happy to switch it up and sensed an American Idol competition heading straight for Pontiac Parkapalooza Deuling Piano show! Felix and Fingers had this audience on their feet dancing and singing at the top of their lungs to requests such as Poker Face by Lady Gaga and Brass Monkey by the Beastie Boys.

Above all, Felix and Fingers knew the gig was a SUCCESS when the balloon clown stepped in and started break dancing to the Beverly Hills Cop Main Theme. To tell the truth, we haven’t had SO MUCH FUN since last years show performing Piano Man by Billy Joel while EVERYONE got into a circle singing along with us. It was a BLAST! They sounded AMAZING!
