Guyan Country Club Wedding rolling hillsYou may have heard us say that we will go anywhere with our dueling pianos.  Well, this time we went to Huntington, West Virginia to play for this Guyan Country Club Wedding.  It was our first time in West Virginia and we know it won’t be the last!

Guyan Country Club Wedding

Word of mouth is always the best advertising.  Even better?  Seeing us in person.  Our bride and groom, Jena and Jeff, had seen us at a friend’s wedding and had so much fun they just had to hire us.  We’re so happy they did!  The Guyan Golf and Country Club was the perfect setting for a wedding.  This golf club was just a bit different to us mid-westerners due to the massive amount of rolling hills.  Not quite like golf in Chicago.  The club was home to William Campbell, a famous golfer, and one can view all of his memorabilia, old clubs, trophies, and special jackets.  This full service country club not only offers golf, but amenities for all ages.  Our favorite part was the banquet room, of course, because that is where we were!

The Guyan Country Club Wedding began with our performer playing the club’s seven foot Baldwin grand piano for cocktail Guyan Country Club Wedding stage areahour.  After a fabulous dinner, we then went to our own pianos to start the show.  But before we get to that, let’s just say that we couldn’t have felt more welcomed for our first time in West Virginia.  The staff was excellent, helpful, and made us feel right at home.  We loved the Guyan Country Club and can’t wait to return.  You can read about them by clicking here.

Oh Yes, Country Roads

John Denver’s Country Roads has always been a popular request and one of our favorites.  But this is the first time we have ever played it in front of actual West Virginians!  We’re still smiling about that one.  The groom is a huge jazz fan and joined us on stage for I’ve Got You Under My Skin by The Chairman of the Board–Frank Sinatra.  He sang along to every word and was awesome.  It was a great night at this Guyan Country Club Wedding.  As the couple left Guyan Country Club Wedding sparkler send offduring a sparkler send off of more than a hundred sparklers, we could still hear guests humming our tunes.
