If there are two things we like it’s great music and wine. We recently got to combine them both for a great cause at the Cedar Ridge Winery fundraiser event! This was our second performance at Cedar Ridge Winery. The first time we got to see a wedding outside in the beautiful vineyard. This show was right after Christmas, so it was quite a bit colder and the fundraiser was inside. Somehow it was just as breathtaking. Cedar Ridge Winery Fundraiser Event
The Home Builders Association of Iowa City organized this Cedar Ridge Winery fundraiser event. The HBA is all about promoting and supporting local home builders, remodelers, real estate brokers, and more! Having their annual charity fundraiser in a winery was genius–so many people showed up that Cedar Ridge Winery almost ran out of chairs! Not that anyone would’ve noticed. Almost everyone spent most of the night on the dance floor!
Home Builders Bring the House Down
Cedar Ridge Winery supplied their own wine and a variety of whiskey, both to serve and to give away to donors, so you know this was a fun crowd. One table of ladies near the back didn’t stop dancing–even when we were on break! One of our favorite requests was Blue Christmas which came with an amazing Elvis impression. Keeping up the wintertime spirit, we played Let It Go from Frozen. All the all the young parents joined in, some of them involuntarily. Either to warm us up or to challenge us, we got a request for Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start the Fire. Little did they know that’s one of our favorite songs!

Long story short, everyone had a fantastic night and helped raise quite a lot of money for the Women’s Council Scholarship Fund. This was a Cedar Ridge Winery fundraiser event no one will soon forget.
