We traveled to Mediapolis, Iowa to Cartwright Park for this Mediapolis Community Event. Mediapolis Town and Country Days is a summer favorite for the local citizens and visitors alike.
Mediapolis Community Event Town and Country Days
Summer brings all kinds of fun and the town of Mediapolis puts on an awesome couple of days celebrating the season as well as their town. You can start off your day with a Lion’s Club pancake breakfast and follow that with a parade. Multiple entertainment options are available each evening including a local talent show and the headliner, your very own Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos. Outdoor summer concerts are some of our favorite gigs. The crowds are happy to be out and about and the relaxing summer feel just puts everyone in a great mood. Summertime Fun with Golf Carts and Dinosaurs
One of the best ways to secure more bookings is through referrals. And that is how we were invited to play for this Mediapolis Community Event. Every year we play for the Annual Teddy Bear Fundraiser, click here for link, and it was this organization that referred us. They know what a great time our show is and told their friends. That’s what we love to hear!
Quite a few members of our audience arrived in golf carts. We thought that was comical and had quite a bit of fun joking with them about that. They were great sports about it. This was a very large outdoor crowd and hence, they had some awesome requests. Lady Antebellum’s Need You Now made an appearance as did Chicken Fried from the Zac Brown Band. One of the little ones wanted to hear Kiss the Girl from “The Little Mermaid” and that brought in even more Disney requests. We even had some oldies with Frank Sinatra’s Strangers in the Night and Johnny B. Good by Chuck Berry. It was a fun night for sure made even more so by audience members joining us on stage in our inflatable dinosaur costumes. That was a riot!
