We love return engagements. To us, it means we must be doing everything right if our clients have us back year after year. That was the story for this Teddy Bear Fundraiser Year Four. We have been playing this gig for four years (as if you couldn’t tell from the title of this post). You can find the Teddy Bear Child Development Center and Preschool in Monmouth, Illinois. Once again, this event took place at the Rivoli Theater and we were impressed the fourth time even more so than the first. See you next year Rivoli!
Each year we head to Monmouth to help this child care center raise money for all of the services they provide. When we do a fundraiser such as this, we donate all of our tips back to the charity. And this year we raised over $1900 in tips to give them! Wow! You know the best way to encourage our dueling piano players to choose your request is by slipping in a little green along with that request. At the Teddy Bear Fundraiser Year Four, the tips, and the requests, didn’t stop the whole night long. We love being able to help such a great cause and thanks to all of the community for your generosity. We’re pretty sure we showed you a great time while raising money for the kids! Check out their Facebook page by clicking here and you will see all of the darling children they help at the Teddy Bear Center.
Return Engagements and Return Couples
Since Felix and Fingers dueling pianos has been around for a while now, we are seeing more and more of our former customers at our current events. For this Teddy Bear Fundraiser Year Four, we ran into one of our former wedding couples. We were able to recreate their first dance to Elvis Presley’s Fools Rush In. It was quite a special moment, that’s for sure. Also, there were some “guest singers,” highly encouraged by the crowd, that came up and sang with us. Each one, and there were four, came along with a $100 tip. Quite a big chunk to help out our donation.
But our duties didn’t just include our piano show. We were also the auctioneers for all of the donated items and there was some interesting stuff. We frequently auction off items at our fundraisers but this was the first time we have ever raised bids for 15 tons of road rock and 100 gallons of Diesel fuel.
We love fundraisers! If you’re interested in having us perform for your organization’s next event, give us a call and we can discuss exactly what we can do for you. We want to help raise as much money as possible while also giving your attendees a night to remember. You can find our contact information on our website by clicking here.
