Dubuque County Fairgrounds Wedding Event Iowa
To begin with, Felix and Fingers drove out to the Dubuque County Fairgrounds in Dubuque, Iowa ready to play an amazing gig. This event was HUGE. By huge, we mean a 550 person wedding! This facility offers a rustic, chic grand ballroom for all your special occasions. There are actually several event facilities at this fairground to accommodate your needs, although the grand ballroom holds up to 900 guests. Our performers for the Dubuque County Fairgrounds wedding event were Sam Baker and Jennifer Lee Knuth. Our dynamic dueling piano duo had the crowd dancing and singing all night long. Cocktail hour was super fun and the floor was packed with songs such as Loving You Easy by The Zac Brown Band. Speeches and toasts were indeed memorable. For example, Kalyn’s father quoted the words to the song Sold by John Michael Montgomery. Her dad said this was the first song he heard on the way home with Kalyn in his arms. In all honesty, not a dry eye in the room!
Tambourine Fun and Sheet Cake Galore!
Everyone enjoyed an AMAZING dinner. There were 8 sheet cakes for dessert! On the other hand, the anniversary dance was a great start to this PARTY. Josh and Kalyn danced with their guests who won the most years…..60!! The crowd LOVED it! At one point of the Dubuque County Fairgrounds wedding event, we had a sweet little girl in glasses dancing with a tambourine. She kept great rhythm while dancing to Shake it Off by Taylor Swift. We thought this was SO CUTE!
Above all, Felix and Fingers worked double time performing for this fun loving crowd. As requests kept pouring in, we kept pushing them out. 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, 80’s, 90’s and today’s hits had the floor PACKED ALL NIGHT LONG. Everyone danced their butts off and sang every song. It was a WILD and CRAZY night! At the very end of the evening, the groom’s father had everyone singing along to La Bamba by Ritchie Valens. The bride and groom mentioned earlier he LOVED being on the microphone. They were right!
