Ashton Hill Farm is one of our favorite Iowa venues. We’ve played here quite a bit and are always excited to return. First of all, the staff is amazing. They take care of everything with ease and professionalism. But most importantly, it is just gorgeous. It has a beautiful modern farmhouse aesthetic surrounded by cornfields and meadows. Is There a Doctor in the House?
Tony and Amy met in med school and many of their guests were physician friends from all over the country. No one was worried about becoming sick at this wedding! While the couple now resides in Iowa, our bride gave homage to her Chicago roots by serving Garrett’s Popcorn. Yum! This was one crazy night indeed. To begin, our groom had built a functioning canon. The couple fired it off outside before heading in to dance the night away. Talk about starting things off with a bang. And it didn’t quiet down from there. This group was ready to party!
This Ashton Hill Farm Wedding Day was extra special as everyone witnessed the two families coming together. Not only were the groom’s five children a part of the big day, but so was the couple’s 200 pound dog. What a sweetie he was! We had some great requests from everyone and kept busy all night. Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance With Somebody filled up the dance floor right away. Loveshack from the B52’s showed us some crazy dance moves. In fact, the dance floor was packed all night. We slowed things down with You Are the Best Thing from Ray LaMontagne and all the couples in love danced to that one. What a great night it was. Congrats to Amy and Tony!
