Located right on the Chicago River, the River Roast is a beautiful and classy restaurant that is great for special events. Felix and Fingers had the opportunity to perform at a recent River Roast wedding that celebrated the marriage between John and Julie on October 28, 2017. This venue has been known to have hosted some great live bands, such as Buddy Guy.

River Roast Wedding

Outdoor patio - River Roast WeddingAs we waited for the couple to arrive, we walked around the venue a little bit making sure we had everything ready to go. While walking around, we noticed the brick walls, glossy wood floors, and the beautiful centerpieces and decorations that lit up the room. The couple arrived via water taxi from the Chicago River while everyone enjoyed themselves outside on the patio waiting to greet the bride and groom accompanied by Chicago themed music.

Reception Hall - River Roast WeddingAfter we spent some time chatting away on the patio, we moved inside to eat a lovely dinner. We overheard many guests commenting on how nice the venue looked both inside and out. The staff at River Roast was of the most professional and talented that I’ve ever encountered, from their drink service and food service to the special guest requests. Also, I ate one of the greatest steak dinners I’ve had at a wedding. But who would expect anything less from a Levy Restaurant? Once we finished toasts and a delicious dinner, we moved this River Roast wedding reception to the dance floor.

Dance, Dance, Dance!

Dueling Pianos - River Roast WeddingTo add on to an already great evening, this energetic crowd wanted to dance and boogie the night away! This couple wanted nothing but straight music and dancing, and that’s exactly what we gave them the entire night. They couldn’t have been happier with our selection of tunes based on what they told us they liked and we played all of their favorites from Taylor Swift and Rihanna to Eric Clapton and Elton John.

Some of the guests, including the bride’s brother, who jumped on the dance floor with their really long hair so we played them the perfect contemporary hair-banging song, “I Believe in a Thing Called Love”. We had a blast performing different requests and wedding hits that kept guests on the dance floor all night long. Felix and Fingers really enjoyed being a part of this lovely River Roast Wedding and we hope that we can come back to perform here again.
