As the fiscal year comes to a close, Felix and Fingers sees a bit of a spike in fundraising gigs, as many organizations are looking to get a better idea of their budget for the coming year. One such organization was the Shir Hadash Reconstructionist Synagogue out of Northbrook, IL. I’d heard of Pinstripes Northbrook many times as a great place to host events, and had actually driven past this particular one every time I play at the Renaissance Hotel in Northbrook, but had never actually been inside until Greg and I arrived at this event. Pinstripes certainly lives up to its reputation!
Pinstripes Northbrook offers a lot of options for groups looking to host private events for 20-600 people. Not only are they famous for offering bowling and bocce packages, they also have semi-private and private rooms available for rent if you’re looking for something a little more intimate! We were on the second floor for this event, in a private room perfect for this type of event. There was plenty of space for our dueling pianos show, a dance floor and tables to fit more than 100 guests, and the Italian/American cuisine they offered was a great way for guests to start their evening!
Big Goal, No Problem at Pinstripes Northbrook!
The staff at Pinstripes Northbrook was extremely helpful in accommodating the needs of both the guests and ourselves, which is fantastic in a fundraising environment. There’s always a lot going on, but because it ran so smoothly we were able to meet our goal of raising at least $400 in tips in just an hour and a half!
This event at Pinstripes Northbrook was particularly fun because in addition to being very friendly, the Shir Hadash community was also quite a musical crowd. We love to involve our guests when we can, and we had quite a few volunteers to choose from! It really made it fun for everyone to be able to see their friends and family get up on stage with us and perform on a whim.
