The Rivoli Theater Fundraiser brought us again to Monmouth, Illinois to play for the Teddy Bear Child Development Center’s annual event. Felix and Fingers has played this event for a few years now and we’re always so happy to return.
Rivoli Theater Fundraiser
We just love the Rivoli Theater. You can find this gem in downtown Monmouth. The theater dates from 1927 and it showed the first “talkie” movies in the area. Now, however, it is used as an event and concert venue. They host weddings, banquets, and some awesome entertainment too. They have a very nice sound system which is a great bonus for us. All in all, a super cool and vintage venue that will give your event a very unique feel. Click here to view more about this historic property.
The Teddy Bear Child Development Center is a cause we love to help. For all of the fundraisers we do, we donate the tips we receive back to the organization. And this year we raised a record amount with our tips. You can check out this organizations Facebook page by clicking here. You will see some charming photos of all their little ones. So fun to help them raise the money they need to continue providing top quality child care services.
Dinner and a Show
The format of this Rivoli Theater Fundraiser was that of dinner being served while people enjoyed our show. We love to have a dance floor for our audiences but it is also nice to have a captive, seated audience. People still sang along and we did see a few bobbing around the tables, but mostly all the focus was on your favorite dueling piano performers. It was a great night and we even broke out our inflatable dinosaur costumes for the first time. So. Much. Fun!
