Felix and Fingers had a blast at the GMIS Giants Corporate Event in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois. The GMIS Giants Corporate Event is a local, 3-day government technology conference. Guests networked with their peers, learned about new trends and met with industry leaders while enjoying our light entertainment. The GMIS Giants Corporate Event was held at the Bloomington-Normal Marriott which is located in uptown Normal, Illinois.
GMIS Giants Corporate Event Illinois
Our performer for the GMIS Giants Corporate Event was Mike Sherman. This was not Mike’s first time performing at the Bloomington-Normal Marriott. The GMIS Giants Corporate Event was a solo show. As a matter of fact, this was actually Mike’s first performance of a 2 day gig playing in the same room. Furthermore, professional staff at the Marriott were very helpful and let Mike store his gear in a nearby hallway for those two days. Mike was actually contracted to play a show for GMIS Giants Corporation earlier this year although a family emergency prevented him from doing so. Casino Night and Raffle Prizes
Not only was this casino night but there were some amazing prizes. For example, one of the raffle prizes was an Xbox 360. Guests could exchange their casino winnings for raffle tickets to win prizes. In all honesty, there were many long faces in the room when the Xbox 360 was given away to a sole winner. Since the Marriott offers catering our client had several appetizer and beverage tables set up around the room. For example, one table held a variety of cheeses such as smoked Gouda, blue cheese and white cheddar. Another table held a beautiful display of fresh veggies alongside ranch, dill and garlic dips. On the other hand, guests helped themselves to hot coffee or enjoyed a glass of ice cold lemon water from a glass dispenser.
The GMIS Giants Corporate Event was a laid back gig. Nonetheless, this did not stop guests from having a blast with Mike at his piano. Because of a ton of song requests there was no shortage of music. One guest in particular requested Mike’s specialty Real Slim Shady by Eminem without even knowing he would nail it.
