The Barrington Onion Pub wedding party was definitely a night to remember. The Onion Pub and Brewery in Barrington, Illinois is not only a great brewery and restaurant, it’s also the perfect event venue.

Since the reception was at a brewery, the placecards and boutonnières were adorned with bottle caps, and the floral centerpieces were inside growlers. There was even beer in the soup. We loved the food here. The amazing prime rib dinner 
was out of this world. Just perfect. Dessert didn’t come from the restaurant however because there was a collaborative cookie table, a tradition dating back to the cost-cutting days of the Great Depression. What a great thing to bring back! We found the food and service to be excellent as usual. This was not our first time at The Onion Pub and Brewery and we know it won’t be our last. Dueling Pianos and Dueling Families
Our bride and groom’s families are rival college sports fans. The bride’s family is for The Ohio State University. They even had buckeyes decorating the sweets table. For the groom’s family, it’s Michigan all the way. So, of course, we had to play both fight songs and watch the friendly rivalry ensue. The couple has been together for ten years, since their high school prom, so 
they’re pretty used to this. Our favorite request of the evening was also the bride’s favorite song; Queen’s Fat Bottom Girls. This crowd had to be dragged away from the dance floor when it was time for us to go. Had we played until 4am, they would have been there we’re sure.
