One Fine Celebratory Evening
In addition to Joe Gruters being the Chairman of the Florida Senate, this party was to celebrate his re-election to the state senate. The Rosen Shingle Creek Re-Election celebration was one fine celebration. Felix and Fingers were proud to be part of such a commemorative evening. Our performers for the Rosen Shingle Creek Re-Election Celebration were Nate Rodriguez and Jim Gritschke. They started the evening off with classics such as Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison, Old Time Rock and Roll by Bob Segar and a favorite classic, Jack and Diane by John Cougar Mellencamp. From the back of the room right up to our stage, guests were clapping along and singing loudly. There were nearly 300 people in attendance. This made the atmosphere filled with celebration and unity with supporters and constituents.
One of the highlights came part-way through the night when we received a “challenge” request for Led Zeppelin. Not only did Nate shock his audience, but he delighted them with his rendition of Immigrant Song. This 2 hour show was pretty much straightforward, allowing guests to fill our tip jar by requesting great tunes and enjoying the evening. Above all, we loved the eclectic requests from Louis Prima to Sir Mix-A-Lot. Our performers kept an epic pace keeping everyone switching it up from swing dancing to booty shaking! When Nate and Jim performed Proud to be An American by Lee Greenwood, every voice in the Rosen Single Creek building could be heard singing with pride as the chorus swept through Orlando!

All-in-all the Rosen Shingle Creek Re-Election Celebration was a wonderful gathering to honor and congratulate Mr. Joe Gruters for his re-election. Once again, CONGRATS Joe!
