Felix and Fingers love a good fundraiser! The Mount Zion Convention Center Holiday Fundraiser was a benefit for Decatur Habitat for Humanity. Robert Deason and Michael Sherman enjoyed helping out at the fundraiser. We encourage everyone to be generous with their giving this holiday season!
Mount Zion Convention Center Holiday Fundraiser
The Mount Zion Convention Center Holiday Fundraiser in Mount Zion, Illinois was a blast! Indeed, Felix and Fingers were front and center on a fantastic stage. The Decatur Habitat for Humanity chose the perfect venue for their fundraiser. The Mount Zion Convention Center strives to accommodate all of your events needs. Dancing Auctions And Holiday Cheer
Everyone enjoyed appetizers and signature drinks. We played Christmas songs while the group mingled. The fundraiser consisted of live and silent auctions. Huge shout out to Ed for being an excellent auctioneer! The most impressive live auction item was a hand beaded recreation of The Last Supper. Hundreds of thousands of individual rhinestones were hand placed to create this piece. It was very impressive! Another clever way they raised money was having people pay for a picture in front of a beautiful Christmas tree. A professional photographer was taking the pictures. As was previously stated, Felix and Fingers love a good fundraiser. Therefore, we donated our tips back to the Decatur Habitat for Humanity.
Felix and Fingers received a lot of great requests for songs. In addition to Christmas songs, we got people up and dancing to Girls Just Want To Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper. We had a group of women that danced the entire time we played. We threw in I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) by Whitney Houston and Vogue by Madonna. The ladies loved those songs! All in all, we had a wonderful time performing at this fundraiser.
