The Silver Beach Carousel wedding event was an intimate gathering held on a beautiful day in October. Since it was a bit chilly with the lakeside breeze, we played the ceremony/reception in the Shadowland ballroom. Whether you’re looking for beautiful scenic views, or a laid back ceremony and reception, Shadowland will deliver the perfect setting.
This gorgeous venue hosts gatherings of up to 275 guests and creates an ambiance hard to find anywhere else. Felix and Fingers brought the Silver Beach Carousel wedding event to life playing live instrumental music as the lovebirds exchanged vows. What is more, we loved the bride’s recessional song choice, Love On Top by Beyonce. In fact, our performers had guests on their feet dancing and singing to this song before the reception even started!
Mike and Greg would like to give a big shout out to the staff at Shadowland. With the help of a professional and friendly team, we were able to turn the room and move into cocktail hour rather quickly. Felix and Fingers didn’t miss a beat and started the party with Better Together by Jack Johnson. As champagne flowed and hors d’oeuvres were passed, friends and family enjoyed the Sunset Patio overlooking the lighted Whirlpool Compass Fountain. There were even a few guests dancing to Lovely Day by Bill Withers. A very classy cocktail hour indeed!
A Magical Shadowland Evening
Felix and Fingers bridged dinner without a hitch with the help of amazing staff. Every employee here is so helpful! Shadowland Catering created a delicious menu that pleased everyone on the guest list. A plated dinner of mouth watering chicken and beef alongside perfect pasta and veggies allowed guests to fill up on more than just the fabulous wedding cake.
Shadowland also provided the liquor license that brought local flavor to the Silver Beach Carousel wedding event. As a matter of fact, the local Michigan beer and wine package was a hit! During dinner, Felix and Fingers had a chance to take a break for dinner, then continued playing instrumental background music as guests dined and mingled. A win-win for all in attendance!
Felix and Fingers made sure everyone had a BLAST at the Silver Beach Carousel wedding event. Shadowland provided AV equipment hookup, two 13’ HD screens for videos and induction loops for guests hard of hearing. Above all, Mike and Greg brought the awesome entertainment with their dueling piano show! After we performed When You’re Smiling by Louis Armstrong for the first dance, we kicked it up and brought EVERYONE on the floor with Rhythm Nation by Janet Jackson. The crowd went wild! It was great seeing all ages enjoy our show and hearing compliments all night long. Furthermore, it was AWESOME to hear guests socialized long after we packed up and left. If that’s not a party we don’t know what is!
