What a night at the BLET Regional Meeting! We kicked things off with “Always and Forever” for a couple celebrating their anniversary—an intimate moment that set the tone. From there, we jumped into “My Life” by Billy Joel, and the energy instantly lifted. Requests started pouring in, and we were off to a strong start!

The energy kept building as we worked through a wide range of audience requests. With just over an hour of playtime, we packed in as many songs as possible, creating an interactive, feel-good atmosphere. The highlight came when everyone rushed to the dance floor for my partner’s heartfelt performance of “Wonderful Tonight.”

As the evening drew to a close, we ended on the perfect note with “Piano Man.” I brought out the Melodica to play the iconic harmonica line, and the room sang in unison. It was a memorable finish to a night full of music, dancing, and unforgettable moments with the incredible BLET crowd.

Someone had experienced an accident and passed out during our performance. There was a bit of tension in the room and Meny and I were unaware of why until Matt explained to us at the end of the evening what had happened.
