I noticed I was having some difficulty getting responses from the audience if I would try to throw in a sing-along/bit for some songs. I think a part of that is just gonna be practicing in how I explain a bit/how I throw the singing out to the audience, and a part is gonna be me projecting more when I speak, especially while there's piano/drums happening. For my first F&F gig, and my first corporate gig, I thought this went well. The key drums were new to me, but I think I did an alright job at it. There were definitely a few songs where I got a little overzealous on tempos and had to pull back a bit, but nothing went off the rails. | |

Reason For No Review | We saw Sarah after the gig, and she seemed very happy with everything, offering positive feedback. I think she'd give a good review; I'm just a little wary since it was my first gig and load-in was a little behind schedule. |
Blog Note 1 | The venue was absolutely stunning! The owners converted a barn into a large, open space perfect for all sorts of events. There was a long line of stables along one wall that added so much personality to the room. |
Blog Note 2 | There was one couple who kept coming back to the dance floor, and they really inspired the rest of the guests to have a good time! When we played Twist And Shout, everybody was out of their chairs, dancing and singing along. |
Blog Note 3 | Don't Stop was a big hit! When we played the intro into the first verse, I could see people's faces light up as they recognized the song. It was a great song for getting people to sing along, and we even got them to sing some on their own during the chorus! |
