Luckily, weeks of rainy days and cloudy skies took a break for the Wild Eagle Resort Wedding of Carlye and Nicholas. Hence, they were able to have a beautiful and sunny outdoor ceremony at this gorgeous resort in Eagle River, Wisconsin. The Wild Eagle Lodge is a resort you do not want to miss.
Wild Eagle Resort Wedding Venue
Felix and Fingers Dueling Piano performers traveled to the Northwoods of Wisconsin for this lovely wedding. With 1900 feet of landscaped shoreline, this resort is an outdoor lover’s paradise. For most weddings, the Wild Eagle Lodge constructs beautiful outdoor tents that can accommodate parties of any size. We were originally supposed to be in a smaller tent, but with a larger one already set up from the previous evening, the resort decided to let us have the bigger one free of charge. The smaller one would have provided plenty of space but everyone truly enjoyed the larger and more spacious venue.
You will find the group at the Wild Eagle Lodge more than accommodating. It is obvious that they are experts at what they do. Besides the excellent service, this resort is a nature lover’s dream venue. With the lake, the greenery, and the gorgeous grounds, we didn’t want to leave. A Day Full of Love and Fun
This was an idea we hadn’t seen before but think it’s a very touching sentiment. During the ceremony, the bride and groom mixed together glass beads that will be melted and made into an ornament for their future Christmas tree. Think of the memories that will bring when they hang it each year. That is just a lovely idea. Following the ceremony, we were treated to popcorn and gelato during the cocktail reception. After being in the hot sun for this outdoor ceremony, the gelato was a cooling treat indeed. And have you ever tried doughnut flavored gelato? It is like the best thing ever.
Next it was time for the speeches and first dances. The best man gave a speech that was both touching and hilarious. That is the best kind of wedding speech. We also liked how the bride and groom combined the mother/son dance and the father/daughter into one special dance. It was a perfect choice for this new family. Finally, it was time to party and Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos took the stage. We had the dance floor popping. And if anyone wanted one of Wisconsin’s best beers, fortunately, the New Glarus Spotted Cow beer truck was right there all night. New Glarus is popular beer that can only be purchased in Wisconsin and this addition to the Wild Eagle Resort Wedding was a favorite for sure.
No Country Music for This Group
We loved all of the great requests that were coming in for our dueling piano portion of the evening. Songs such as My Sharona by The Knack and Harder to Breathe from Maroon 5 had everyone dancing and singing along. Following the dueling piano show, we had our DJ set. All Felix and Fingers performers are trained DJ’s. Many of our couples want our awesome piano performance, but also want to hear their favorite tunes in the original format. That is why we offer a DJ option in addition to our live music performance. And our crew really knows how to keep the dance floor packed.
For some unknown reason, we always have a ton of country requests when we DJ in Wisconsin. But not for the Wild Eagle Resort Wedding. We had specifically been asked not to play country so, of course, we did not. It was mainly songs from the 90’s and 2000’s that people wanted to hear so Brittany Spears, Pink, Green Day, and Nickleback all had songs on our playlist. What a great night it was all around.
