Have you been thinking about where to have your wedding? Maybe you live in the country and are concerned with a possible lack of venues. Or maybe you live in the city, but you love the idea of a rustic setting.

Whether you’ve made up your mind or not, I’m certain that the O’Brien barn will seal the deal.

About The O’Brien Barn

Take a trip through some rolling Meadows into Brooklyn, Wisconsin. That is where you will find this gem of the countryside.

Take a step inside this classic, red barn, and you will be immersed in a setting that is much more beautiful than modern indoor wedding venues.

Granted, not everyone may be looking for a rustic setting. But until you have taken a good look, this is an idea that I think you’ll want to keep on the table.

Everything about this place was completely charming. From the landscape and the fresh country air to the decor, which as you can see, was done very well.  Each area of the barn had its own charm. Even the restrooms and the waiting area were beautifully prepared.  My hat goes off to the crew that did the decorating.

The Upper Floor Of The O’Brien Barn

The wedding ceremony was held on the upper floor. Immediately after the ceremony, the guests headed downstairs where they enjoyed dinner, and speeches. We had provided wireless mics for the speeches, and we DJ’d wedding jazz selections during this time. You know? Great standards like “Fly Me to the Moon” and “Autumn Leaves.”  It’s hard to go wrong with Sinatra or Michael Buble.

It was during this time that we made a transition upstairs. What was the alter area, soon became a stage.  The chairs were removed and it became a wonderful dance floor. We moved our keyboards onto the main stage. We set up our lighting system, and the area was ready for a great reception party!

Let The Dancing Begin

Dancing at O'Brien barn in Brooklyn, WisconsinBy now, people were ready to dance the night away. And that’s exactly what they did.  We played a variety of requests that kept people on the dance floor. And when we finished with the dueling piano portion of the show, we kept things lively and DJ’d some great dance music until the end of the night.

Everyone I met that night (whether they were a guest or they were working, as we were) was incredibly friendly.

We had a great time!  Want to learn more about the O’Brien barn? Simply visit their website for more pictures and contact information.
