In the heart of Milwaukee is a beautiful event space called South Second. It’s industrial, yet rustic, interior allows for a full transformation for any event. Most recently, Felix and Fingers experienced a Roaring 20’s themed corporate event at the space and was fully transported, flappers and all.
To honor its employees achievements, Tri City National Bank hosted a celebration of music, food, and fun. This quarter’s theme: The Roaring 20’s. South Second worked with the event planners to pull it off. The decor was simple, yet elegant, with feather centerpieces reminiscent of flappers’ headbands. However, the guests are what really pulled off the theme. They were all dressed in costume! The ladies wore beautifully beaded flapper dresses, and fedoras and suspenders complemented the men’s pinstripes.
In addition, the staff arranged food stations across the venue. Guests could choose from a mashed potato bar, a gelato sundae station, BLT deviled eggs, and more. All was delicious and the stations were perfect for a corporate event, allowing guests to go back for seconds.
Roaring 20’s Dance Party
As guests were arriving, we took requests and played smooth jazz, transporting everyone to the themed era. Then, the party really got going. We DJ’d authentic 1920’s club music, leaving seats empty as everyone hit the dance floor. At this point in the night, South Second truly transformed into a Roaring 20’s speakeasy. Above all, everyone went home having had a great time, including us. We were so thankful to play for a great group of guests and work with the wonderful South Second staff.
