Felix and Fingers wish you a Happy New Year! We had a ton of fun performing at the Seeboth NYE reception in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This was a really cool event with a 1920’s Great Gatsby theme and the crowd really went for it. Congratulations Rory and DaMara!
Seeboth NYE Reception Milwaukee
If your next event has a guest count of 200 or less and you’re searching for a chic and urban venue setting, check out The Seeboth. The Seeboth is located within a renovated historical building. With it’s exposed Cream City brick and stainless beams you’ll be sure to fall in love with it. Furthermore The Seeboth has a perfect walking distance location to Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward and the busy bars/restaurants of South Second Street. Our performers for the Seeboth NYE reception were Mike Sherman and T. Duncan Parker. These guys are always a hit with the crowds performing an amazing interactive dueling piano show. The bride and groom were married a week before the Seeboth NYE reception. It was great to see guests dressed in 1920’s attire enjoying fabulous food surrounded by a glamorous atmosphere. Rory and DaMara had two of their best friends sing during cocktail hour as Mike and Duncan played for them. For example, some standards such as For Once in My Life by Stevie Wonder and Baby Love by The Supremes were a hit. Dinner was DELISH. There was steak and chicken along with perfectly grilled veggies. In addition, a decadent dessert table held a gorgeous wedding cake enjoyed by all.
Champagne Toast and New Year Countdown
Since the bride and groom were married a few weeks earlier this was only the reception. After an amazing dinner, guests flocked to the dance floor for a special treat. Rory and Damara’s parents had no idea there would be a Father/Daughter and Mother/Daughter dance. As soon as Mike and T. Duncan started on their rendition of The Carpenters Close to You, the mother of the groom screamed in joy! Additionally, the groom and his new brother-in-law took over our show for about 15 minutes as they performed a dueling piano set of their own! In fact, Rory has dabbled in dueling pianos and the bride’s brother is a flippin’ prodigy. These two guys played around 4 songs and they were SO GOOD.
Our last song performed for the 2018 year was Baby Got Back by Sir Mix A Lot with the crowd going wild on a packed dance floor. Eventually we did a countdown to New Years while everyone enjoyed a champagne toast singing their hearts out to Auld Lang Syne…the Dougie MacLean version. On the other hand, breaking in 2019 with Livin’ on a Prayer by Bon Jovi as our first song of the year was the perfect choice in keeping everyone on the dance floor until we closed out the night.
