Historic Milwaukee Wedding ballroomThe Woman’s Club of Wisconsin was the setting for this historic Milwaukee wedding.  As the oldest private city club in the Milwaukee and the oldest Woman’s Club in the country, this venue exudes charm and nostalgia.  As you might know, Felix and Fingers sees a lot of wedding and event venues.  This one definitely ranks up there with some of the best.

Historic Milwaukee Wedding

Kelsey and Daniel love nature and wanted a wedding outside.  However, they were in love with the Woman’s Club’s exquisite ballroom and other spaces.  So what to do?  They chose the indoor venue and rented a large tree as a prop from a theater company.  We haven’t seen that one before. The upstairs ballroom is wide open with plenty of room for dancing and mingling.  We set up on the stage and everyone had a great view of us because of that.  It’s great when we know there will be a stage at the gig.Historic Milwaukee Wedding stage  We were so impressed with this incredibly impressive space.  If you are planning a wedding in the Milwaukee area you definitely want to check it out.  Click here to be redirected to their website.

Fun Time for All

Besides the tree, we thought another unique aspect of this wedding was how the bride and groom greeted their guests.  They brought wedding cake to each table to serve to their friends and family.  It was quite nice and gave them the opportunity to greet everyone.  Following dessert, we began our performance with our solo performer Mike.  For starters, Mike played some songs guaranteed to lure people out to the dance floor.  He followed with some romantic tunes and then kicked it up a notch with some more rocking good dance songs.  Historic Milwaukee Wedding giftsFinally, he switched to the DJ portion of the evening and everyone had a blast dancing to the original versions of their favorite songs.
