Geneva National is one of our favorite spots! Felix and Fingers were lucky enough to return just recently for a perfect Geneva National Clubhouse wedding! From the tented pavilions to the panoramic lakeside views to the flawless ballroom, Geneva National is perfect for every occasion. Especially weddings!
Geneva National is known as one of the best venues in Wisconsin. Trust us, it lives up to the hype! They had re-built the main ballroom since last our last show and it’s somehow even better than before. Geneva National had their own wedding planner, Lauren. She was extremely helpful and made sure everything was under control. The greens outside are beautiful all year round, but during this fall wedding they were especially picturesque. The interior was also lovely. Each table had a handmade autumnal centerpiece that were amazing. Click here to set up your own perfect Geneva National clubhouse wedding!
Class and Jazz
We set up in Geneva National’s lounge bar and transformed it into a piano bar. With the gold and black color scheme, it felt like we were playing out a scene form the Great Gatsby. We were joined by a bassist and drummer and filled the cocktail hour with some smooth jazz. Those fellow musicians were a joy to work with and there’s nothing wrong with tapping your feet a bit while waiting in line for some excellent food. The real fun came at the end when all four of us started an impromptu jam session finale. Later that night we had guests ask what song that was–which is is probably the best compliment you can get for a song you made up on the fly!
The real fun started when the dancing and requests started. As it usually does with us! There were a lot of classic country song requests. Boot Scootin’ Boogie by Brooks & Dunn was fun and You’re Still The One by Shania Twain beyond sweet. The groomsmen conspired together to request Everlong by the Foo Fighters. Not your typical wedding song, but everyone loved it. The real show stopper was when a guest that shall remain nameless danced so hard to the Backstreet Boys’ I Want It That Way that their pants ripped. The best part was that after some emergency wardrobe triage they were back on the dancefloor before the next song was over!
