Something about Botanical Gardens and Weddings just make sense…even in January! This was our first trip to the Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, Wisconsin, and it was an unforgettable wedding. From the perfect room to the amazing guests, Boerner Botanical Gardens and Felix and Fingers threw a night to remember!

I had personally been looking forward to this event for a while. New venues are always exciting, especially when they have the great reputation of Boerner Botanical Gardens!
Walking into the room really set the scene for the rest of the evening. From the Gobo Projection on the dance floor to the beautiful cake, uplights to the piano shells, and even the crazy star backdrop we had, this room had it all. And when it comes to the wedding reception, a well-decorated room really can make the difference. Getting the right lighting especially is huge, and when you nail it like Boerner did, you’re set up for success.
Boerner Botanical Gardens also have a beautiful lobby area where people mingled during cocktails. Whereas so many venues have small rooms and cramped cocktail spaces, Boerner really had the perfect layout.

You know it’s going to get crazy when the mother of the bride insists that I bring an accordion to the wedding. Yes, I play the accordion, and yes, it did make an appearance. Wisconsin tends to get made fun of for its polkas, but seriously, I’ve never once played a polka medley that didn’t pack the dance floor. Dated or not, there’s magic in that polka music!
We had a momentary pause in the show while I pulled ou the accordion, proceeded to the center of the dance floor, and played such classics as “Roll out the Barrel” and “Too Fat Polka”. Want accordion at your wedding? Just ask!

There’s really not much more to say about this picture perfect wedding. The venue was perfect and the couple couldn’t be happier!
