Golf courses around America continue to close. Popular turnkey wedding venue Whitewater Country Club, located in Whitewater, WI recently shut their doors. This left brides and event planners scrambling for a new venue. Felix and Fingers were the last performers to play a blustery wedding bash held at this country club. Since this venue is sadly no longer in business, we don’t recommend this location for your next event. But, we’d love to let you know about the successful Whitewater dueling piano show that we had a BLAST at. Congratulations Crystal and Jeff!
Blustery Wedding Bash Whitewater
Mother Nature loves to play around with the weather. In our case, she seemed to enjoy bringing 40 mph winds to our outdoor ceremony. Who would have thought a hot August day would have incoming storms bring such crazy winds? So crazy that mid-ceremony, our tent blew away. No problem. Leave it to Felix and Fingers to save the day. Our performers were set up with a wireless speaker system and quickly (with the help of amazing staff) moved the speakers into a meeting room where the ceremony commenced.
Not only were our performers able to play from their reception hall set-up, but we saved the ceremony with our wireless system! It was great seeing everyone enjoy Marry You by Bruno Mars as the bride and groom danced through their recessional song.
It’s unfortunate the Whitewater County Club is closed because we played in a beautiful room overlooking the golf course. Stunning floor to ceiling views. To begin with, we literally brought Happy to cocktail hour, playing Happy by Pharrell Williams! It was easy getting this crowd to sing along. In between champagne and hors d’oeuvres, songs such as Baby Love by The Supremes and Lovely Day by Bill Withers held guests over for the real party.
Party in the Kitchen
Felix and Fingers know our show is a success when kitchen staff is dancing like crazy. Between speeches, first dances (a non-traditional slow version of All My Love by Led Zepplin) and a cake cutting, we held this blustery wedding bash down with our amazing show. There was tons of laughter when our performers had audience members answer questions about their date/significant other. Everyone enjoyed our interactive show!
As we continued into the evening there were a ton of requests for 80’s and 90’s music. We had a good time bringing out nostalgic songs such as Sweet Child O’ Mine by Guns & Roses. We had everyone in the room in awe at our performers ability to hit Axel’s high notes!
Things took a crazy turn after shots of Patron made their way around the room. In addition to non-stop shots, delicious late night sliders were brought out. This crowd LOVED to DANCE. One of our specialties is a song request challenge. Felix and Fingers pride themselves making sure everyone hears their song. From No Diggity by Blackstreet to When Doves Cry by Prince, we had our audience covered for the night. In all honesty, they LOVED us!
Above all, we had everyone form a love circle around Crystal and Jeff while singing Piano Man by Billy Joel. Best part of the night? Guests still dancing after we turned the lights on. It was great to see them take the groove home!
