Maddy Ludwig: 5-foot-5 with a full red lip.

I basically came out of the womb singing. And when I forgot about singing, Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music was there to remind me; she’s how I found my vibrato. I’ve been in choir for as long as I can remember. When I got cut from my high school volleyball team (I was devastated) is when I found my calling in the arts: Show choir, vocal jazz, opera, classical choir, musicals, I did it all… but once I was out of the college bubble I really found my voice as a solo artist. As much as I performed I still had awful stage fright, but my time singing/synth shredding with Hairbanger’s Ball, a touring 80’s hair metal tribute band, shook that (all night long) right out of me. The more leather and sequins (and wigs teased to the Gods), the more my confidence grew.

Starting my dueling career in piano clubs in Chicago, I rocked faces there for four more years until Europe called my name where I branched out into solo shows. When I moved back, I hit up Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos and it pulled me into a world faster than the opening credits of Stranger Things. Since then, we’ve been banging keys and breaking hearts together and I’m excited to see what the years to come will bring.
(Maddy currently resides on the east coast with her loving wife and haunted house).
