I grew up in a Boston family that loved music, with lots of time spent singing together, and started piano at 6 and trumpet at 9. I moved to New Orleans in 2007 “for one year” but whoops, I’m still here! 10 years ago, I started working at the institution known as Pat O’Briens piano bar, and I still get so much joy from being there every week. In between, I freelance on trumpet, vocals, and piano, and music-direct the all-female rock supergroup N.O.B.A.B.E and the long-running burlesque musical The Van Ella Bordella.

When I’m not doing music, I direct Programs and Research for the Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans, working on policy, analyzing the cultural economy, and advocating for musicians and performers on legal and economic issues. If I’m not doing any of that, I can be found with my Mardi Gras Dance Krewe the Camel Toe Lady Steppers, eating cheese, and/or taking a nap on my 76-lb dog, Moose.

Through a happy accident in 2021, I was connected to Felix and Fingers, and was thrilled to add that piece to my puzzle!
