Felix and Fingers LOVE helping raise funds for any gathering. Hence, our Woodcliff Marina Private Veteran’s Fundraiser Event in Fremont, Nebraska was a knock-out show! Not only were our players Brandyn, Nick and Greg an amazing trio, but we played a three-way show. This is always a unique experience. We thought it was awesome.
Woodcliff Marina Private Veteran’s Fundraiser Fremont Nebraska
We played for a amazing community. This Woodcliff Marina Private Veteran’s Fundraiser Event actually included a shrimp boil along with entertainment in a local bar/restaurant. We had a very cool setting next to the marina. Felix raised a TON of money during this FUN fundraiser. As a matter of fact, our show included tons of big tippers, with tips going to the fundraising cause. $50 bucks to play a Dave Brubeck song in the first 10 minutes set the tone for the night!
The sense of community was strong at the Woodcliff Marina Private Veteran’s Fundraiser. Since it’s a gated community, everyone seems to know everyone. This made for a great night out indeed. It was one big party! Furthermore, we celebrated a birthday for one of the guests. The whole crowd sang Happy Birthday and sounded awesome!
One Big Party
A big shout out to the staff working double time keeping everyone happy. Felix had an amazing time working with the event organizers. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Hence load out was easy with all the extra hands. We had a blast playing with two other dueling players on one long show. Our performers made a TON of MONEY on Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. A sing-off brought in a nice chunk of change that was all donated to the veterans.
Above all, guests would bring us shots to keep our whistle wet. One guest even brought us a scotch and soda! Would you believe in between all the goodies there was a crawdad boil? They actually served a Cajun style platter with freshly cooked crawdads and it was DELICIOUS.
While there was limited space, we still had a ton of dancing all night long. There were some atypical requests such as Light My Fire by The Doors. We finished off the evening with Jumpin’ Jack Flash by The Rolling Stones. Big hit of the night. Felix loves seeing everyone leave their show happy. We may or may not have heard some singing in the parking lot. What an awesome night!
