Felix and Fingers couldn’t have been happier to be a part of this Tapawingo Surprise Birthday Party for Nancy’s 50th birthday.  We LOVE birthday parties!  They are some of the most fun gigs we play.

Nancy’s big party took place at the Tapawingo National Golf Club in St. Louis, Missouri.  We loved the venue and found the staff to be super helpful.  They even provided a shuttle for us from the parking lot to the venue.  Moving our equipment is probably the most difficult part of our evening so we’re always happy to have a little help.  Besides the kind staff, the catering was so delicious.  The guests could not stop commenting on the quality of their meal.  If you’re looking for an event space in the St. Louis area, please click here to find out more.  Their spacious banquet room was perfect for our party and we know it would be a great venue for any medium to large event.

Nancy’s Fantastic Fiftieth

As the birthday girl entered her surprise party, we played Birthday by The Beatles.  The look on Nancy’s face was priceless.  She was definitely surprised.  Not only had her family planned the most lovely party for her at Tapawingo, they also hired us.  Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos will Tapawingo Surprise Birthday Party Nancy cut outscertainly add the fun to any type of party.  After she got over the shock of her surprise, Nancy couldn’t help but feel the love in the room from all of her family and friends.  On a humorous note, they had made large cut out faces of Nancy that were placed on the tables as centerpieces.  As the night progressed, the guests were holding them up in front of their faces while they danced and sang.  It was quite hilarious.

We played all sorts of music for Nancy’s Tapawingo Surprise Birthday Party.  Since she was turning 50, that put her at just the right age for 80’s music.  We had thought that ahead of time and we were right.  Livin’ On a Prayer by Bon Jovi made our request list as did their Shot Through The Heart.  Taylor Dayne’s Tell It to My Heart was one we hadn’t heard in a while.  AC/DC’s Shook Me All Night Long had these 50ish women throwing down some rocking dance moves.  We slowed it down a bit to play a request for the Bangle’s Eternal Flame but then heated it right back up with Manic Monday.  All in all, it was a great night of fantastic music requests.

We did do a DJ portion to our show as well but when that was over this group was clamoring for more dueling pianos.  Even though our show was supposed to end, we went on to perform three more songs.  They still didn’t want us to finish but the show has to end sometime.  We have to admit, we love knowing how much people enjoy our show and love hearing all of the compliments.  If you would like to have us perform at your next party or event, please send us an email at info@felixandfingers.com or give us a call.  You can find all of our contact information by clicking here and we hope to play for you soon.
