It’s not every day Felix and Fingers perform at a 3-day event.  For example, the Gulf Coast Association Fundraiser was split into 3 days of music, dancing and fun.  In fact, Felix and Fingers enjoy raising money for great causes.  The first day fundraiser was for the Realtors Political Action Committee (RPAC).  The following 2 days were for the Island View Casino in Gulfport, MIssissippi.

Southern Song Requests

Gulf Coast Association FundraiserOur performers for the Gulf Coast Association Fundraiser event were Greg Percifield and Mike Scott.  These guys were in New Orleans the day before and must have walked about 10 miles in two days.  Huge perks with this show; no set up or tear down of equipment.  Mike and Greg rented gear from their good friend John Autin for this event.  It was pretty awesome to just walk in, sit down and play.  Moreover, Mike and Greg really enjoyed having a crew handle that part of the show for them.  A well lit, raised stage with two pianos was the center of attention on the main floor of the hotel.  Here guests relaxed at tables, walked the room or enjoyed dancing by the stage.  There was a great appetizer buffet area with carved watermelons, Hors d’oeuvres and a top shelf bar.

With the first night’s show being a fundraiser for the Realtors Political Action Committee, Greg and Mike played a lot of Southern fight songs.  Requests came in for Ole Miss and Alabama State.  The following two nights we played a fundraiser for the casino.  During the casino fundraiser, we had a ton of guests singing country songs.  One guest in particular really enjoyed himself singing Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy by Big and Rich.  It was a $20 minimum song request and as a matter of fact, we raised hundreds of dollars to sing Piano Man by Billy Joel.  Mike and Greg were happy ending the night with hearing RPAC say “See you next year!”.
