The Northport Bay Retreat Wedding brought us to this lovely venue for a second time. What a great venue. We love it here and hope you will too.

What a gorgeous property in Northern Michigan! This waterfront property is a venue space and corporate retreat space with 16 bedrooms. Not only did we play here, but we were able to stay here as well. Our very generous bride and groom, Chelsea and Troy, reserved a room for us which was incredibly nice. So even though we had to work, it really felt like a great weekend getaway for us too.
For dinner, there was a whole roasted pig, head and all. We must say that is was some of the best pork we have ever tasted. The staff was wonderful. They couldn’t have been more attentive or helpful. Country Stars and the Macarena
We were lucky enough to hear up and coming country star, Zach Dubois, perform during the ceremony and dinner. He was a real nice guy and we’re thinking that he will be a household name before long. But then it was our turn and time to party! We began with the father/daughter and mother/son dance followed by the couple’s first dance. After that, things really heated up with some classic rock such as ACDC’s You Shook Me All Night Long and newer hits such as Beyoncé’s 7-11. We are also wondering what is with the resurgence of the Macarena? We’ve had a ton of requests for that lately. We don’t mind but kind of felt that we had to put our own little twist on it. So we played it with an ever increasing tempo and had a little contest to see who could keep up with us. It was quite a laugh watching that!.
