Waterloo Art Center Wedding Iowa

Waterloo Art Center WeddingBeing out in the middle of rural Iowa, you wouldn’t expect people to know which city Felix and Fingers drove in from.  Our performers for this fun wedding event were Mike Potts and Jim Gritschke.  Amazingly there were at least 10-15 guests who were actually from our hometown.  Furthermore, there were even a few guests who saw our show on the marquee at the Raue Center for the Arts in Crystal Lake, Illinois. In other words, small world!  This fun loving group of 75 guests notably leaned toward a mature crowd.

To start with there was a grand piano provided in the lobby for reception.  Hence, our performer Mike had a chance to dazzle guests with some classic jazz standards.  It wasn’t long before guests were dancing to songs such as Georgia on My Mind by Ray Charles.  In addition to a stunning view of the river, we noted the Waterloo Art Center staff paid attention to detail decorating the Shoitz River Room for the reception.  If you would like more information on the Waterloo Center for the Art please click here.

Free Style Rap Solo and a Giant Cupcake

Waterloo Art Center WeddingDinner was amazing.  In fact, the bride and groom announced they had signed a contract to purchase the company who catered their wedding!  In all honesty everyone enjoyed their meal so much we know this will be a great investment.  The sweet table was pretty sweet.  Jessica and Gary skipped the traditional wedding cake and had a giant cupcake instead.  It was delicious.  After dinner, guests were ready to have some fun with our show.  Our performers packed the dance floor with fun interactive songs such as Y.M.C.A. by The Village People and Macarena by Los Del Rio.

In the end not only were guests literally worn out from dancing and singing but Jessica had us wrap up early so everyone could get some rest!  Jessica mentioned she was indeed HAPPY that we were able to give her a dream reception.  Above all, while Mike was packing his gear the Best Man staged a free style rap solo with him. Due to these two having so much fun the rap solo should have been performed during the wedding.
