With 22 acres of stunning aronia farmland located in Homestead, Iowa, the Koru Berry Farm wedding event was a memorable day indeed. This gorgeous venue is conveniently located close to Cedar Rapids/Iowa City, by way of the Amanas with easy access to Interstate 80 for travelers. Furthermore, as a perfect backdrop for any occasion, the farm’s aronia bushes offer white flowers in the spring and red/orange foliage in the fall! The Koru Berry Farm wedding event was a wonderfully intimate and friendly celebration. Our performers for this special gathering were Greg Percifield and Chris Heroldt. The Koru Berry Farm has an ancient willow tree on it’s premises where Samantha and Joel were married. As vows were exchanged, Felix and Fingers live-performed their favorite songs. We didn’t let the rain stop us and had everyone on their feet singing to Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles for a fun recessional song!
Delicious Dinner and Tons of Dancing
Cocktail hour was so much fun. Felix and Fingers had everyone dancing to songs such as Just the Way You Are by Bruno Mars and L-O-V-E by Nat King Cole. There was no shortage of champagne and the appetizers were out of this world! During this time, the family friend who officiated the ceremony was spotted as the best dancer on the floor. Multi-talented indeed!
Dinner was one of the most amazing meals we have enjoyed at a wedding. Outstanding lamb and perfectly grilled veggies! This crowd sang a song with the word LOVE in it instead of clinking glasses to have the lovebirds kiss. After heartfelt speeches and tons of toasts, we kept the dance floor alive the rest of the night. Everyone enjoyed lots of oldies and 80’s hits. We also performed Earth, Wind & Fire, Frank Sinatra and even some Lizzo before the evening was over. Whatever you need, Felix has it!
