Hotel Julien Wedding Event Dubuque
The Hotel Julien obviously takes wedding day (and night) needs into mind when they designed this place. From the Special Events Manager services, to the complimentary whirlpool suite for the wedding couple, this hotel has it all. The bride and groom chose to hold their reception in the Grande Ballroom which is adjacent to the Atrium. The Atrium is a pre-function space located in the center of the Hotel Julien and is ideal for cocktail hour. Felix and Fingers had set uplights around the ballroom for added color which highlighted the luxurious surroundings.
Cocktail hour kicked off in the Atrium with live music and plenty to drink. Since our performers were playing in the Grande Ballroom, knowledgeable staff helped set up our wireless system to expand the show’s horizon. This allowed guests to mingle and dance to songs such as No Moon at All by Karrin Allyson and On a Clear Day by Robert Goulet in the Atrium. Eventually, Felix and Fingers took a break to sample a few butler passed hors d’oeuvres. The Tempura Asparagus was amazing!
Surprise Claw Machine
Dinner featured gorgeous fresh florals on beautifully decorated round tables. A busy photographer made rounds as guests dined on spring lamb chops and grilled chicken provided by the Hotel Julien’s very own Caroline’s Restaurant. Felix and Fingers did a great job providing upbeat background music from songs such as Marry You by Donald Glover to the popular Photograph by Ed Sheeran. Did someone mention dessert? It wasn’t hard to miss the GIANT cupcake display next to a stunning cake. These were the BEST Red Velvet cupcakes we’ve ever tasted!
Before long it was time to PARTY. Music is the key to any wedding reception, and Felix and Fingers are the #1 Dueling Piano Show on the internet bringing a variety of entertainment to your event. Not only are the performers multi-instrumental, but they put on an awesome interactive gig filled with comedy and crowd participation. Oh and DJ’ing, we love to DJ!
It seems once a song request comes in, the rest are an avalanche. Felix and Fingers worked hard all night to keep the dance floor PACKED. Songs such as Respect by Aretha Franklin and Stronger by Kayne West kept all ages grooving. A highlight of the evening was when the wedding party rolled in a surprise claw machine. The groom is an avid claw machine-ist (borderline obsession) and his friends stole all his stuffed animals putting them in the machine! The look on the groom’s face was PRICELESS! In conclusion, we know a party is successful when the last song of the night is Little Big’s Skibidi with the audience knowing ALL those crazy moves!
