It’s always a pleasure to perform at an event where money is raised for a great cause. The Burlington Golf Club Membership Fundraiser held a silent and regular auction. The Burlington Golf Club offers 6 different event spaces. Furthermore, each space has their own stunning views and character. The Burlington Golf club offers professional event planners. Our performers for the Burlington Golf Club Membership Fundraiser were T. Duncan Parker and Greg Percifield. Being this was a double fundraiser, all proceeds went towards the golf club’s renovation project. Guests had a great selection of auction items to bid on. There was something for everyone. For example, Greg had his eye on 30 Cubs tickets. Eventually another guest outbid him by $25.00, that’s okay there’s always next time!
Sharing is Caring
We could totally feel the energy in the banquet room as time drew near to hold the auctions. There were lines of guests dreaming of winning that special trip, wine basket or private golf lessons. A constant flow from the auction tables to our tip jars kept us busy with song requests. Much to our surprise, we were told there wasn’t going to be much dancing. There was no way we were going to let that happen. We fired up the pianos to Uptown Funk by Mark Ronson and Stayin’ Alive by the Bee Gees. Wan’t to hear a good one? We didn’t even finish our first song and as a result of these great song choices, the dance floor was immediately packed!
During one of the auctions Duncan and Greg had a chance to sit back and watch some fun. The Burlington Golf Club Fundraiser didn’t have a wireless microphone for the auctioneer, therefore we let him borrow ours. In fact, this allowed the auctioneer to get in with the crowd and better spot the incoming bids. We love sharing and making people happy! It’s important to realize with our sound system we can offer wireless microphones with virtually any event! Moreover, all we could hear were non-stop compliments while we packed up. Mostly everyone shared their compliments as to how successful and fun the fundraiser was. We loved seeing the golf club President stay until the very end. For one thing, we loved the fact he asked us to play another song after we finished the show!
