Our performers for this first-class wedding were Whitney Maxwell and Jim Gritschke. Two of our high-energy, fun-loving players came together and brought a knock-out show to The Blackhawk Hotel Wedding Event!

There were rows of white chairs facing a large stage within a grassy, circular court. Tables dressed in white cloth, lavender ribbon and fresh flowers flanked the ceremony space. The bride and groom actually exchanged vows outside on a raised stage, under a giant orchestral shell!

Vince the VIP Mannequin

The bride and groom held their reception inside the Blackhawk Hotel. As guests filed in, they chatted approvingly of the gorgeous old woodwork and architecture. Additionally, there were tons of delicious hors d’oeuvres to snack on. During this time, our players performed light background music. Friendly staff moved guests outside for the reception. Here is where the bride and groom had a mannequin waiting with a curly brown wig. This mannequin actually represented Vince, a good friend who was unable to attend the celebration. Vince looked great!

Let’s talk about the kids at this wedding. They started off our dueling piano show dancing in the lawn. As Jim and Whitney played some Disney favorites such as Beauty and The Beast, our tiny crowd sang mightily. Our fun-loving audience was on the dance floor all night long. Songs such as Thriller by Michael Jackson brought out some great dance moves. Furthermore, The Devil Went Down to Georgia by The Charlie Daniels Band, had our crowd spinning!

In summary, singing competitions, great moves, and laughter rounded out this perfect party. Lovely weather and a stunning sunset most certainly made the evening incredibly comfortable. Lots of great requests came through online and our crowd danced until the last DJ set. Felix is proud to place the successful Blackhawk Hotel Wedding Event in their books!
