We cannot begin to say how beautiful the grounds were at the Wilder Mansion wedding.  Felix and Fingers drove out to Elmhurst, Illinois to perform at the Wilder Mansion on a gorgeous summer day.  Congratulations Katherine and Christoper!

Wilder Mansion Wedding Elmhurst

Wilder Mansion WeddingThis stately, renovated mansion has been serving the Elmhurst community since 1921.  Here you will find exquisite herb gardens, mature perennial beds and paved pathways. The fact that the mansion has a sunken formal ceremony garden with room for up to 130 guests makes it perfect for a mid sized wedding.

The Wilder gardens are available May through October on Friday evenings and weekends. Furthermore, the mansion boasts a 9,000 square foot rental space.  In view of that fact, you’ll be happy to know it can hold up to 250 guests.  What’s notably better is that you can rent the entire mansion or specific rooms 7 days a week.  If you are interested in touring the Wilder Mansion and it’s gardens please click here.

Dueling Pianos and French Bulldogs

Wilder Mansion WeddingBeing that Felix and Fingers enjoy playing cool venues, the Wilder Mansion wedding was definitely one of them.  After a particularly beautiful ceremony in the gardens, guests strolled over to the Wilder Mansion for the reception. A professional staff greeted everyone at the doors, guests noticed their excellent attention to hospitality.  For instance, cocktails and appetizers flowed from one room to another steadily.

Due to the fact the bride and groom did not request DJ’ing we only performed a dueling piano show. Felix and Fingers played a relaxed instrumental during dinner.  After dinner we decided to kick it up a notch and get the crowd on the dance floor.  Who could resist Conga by Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine or Moves Like Jagger by Maroon 5?  Everyone went nuts for our rendition of the UIC vs IU fight song.  One of the highlights of the evening was raising about $960 for the French Bulldog Rescue Organization located downtown Chicago.

In summary, Felix and Fingers enjoy holding fundraisers within an event.  It’s always beneficial to give back to the community, the simple reason here is helping rescue animals.  If you would like for us to perform at your next special event please email us at info@felixandfingers.com or click here for more information.  We look forward to hearing from you soon!
