“Go Cubs Go” was the song of the night at the Schaumburg Convention Center.  We we hired to play a corporate event several months in advance.  Little did we know that the show would be on the same night as Game 2 of the Cubs v Indians playoff game in the World Series.  Luckily the staff at the Schaumburg Convention Center made sure everyone was able to enjoy the game during our show.

Big Screen TV Next to Our Stage

We knew the week of the event that we’d have some angry party goers if the game wasn’t on.  Luckily the Schaumburg Convention Center set up a flat screen TV in the room with us.  Usually during cocktails we play background music, like Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble, but instead, we just turned on the audio for the game!  Everyone enjoyed appetizers and cocktails while watching Anthony Rizzo and Ben Zobrist light it up!

Once our show started, people were happy to let sing along with us as long as the TV video stayed on.  We were surprised at how many people were making requests even during the game.  They were even playing along with us and responding to our jokes.  During the bottom of the ninth, we took a break to watch Aroldis Chapman close out the game.  We then jumped right into “Go Cubs Go!”  You can even watch the Felix and Fingers rendition of it here:

Once the game was over, everyone was in great mood and we kept singing and dancing the rest of the night!  We took requests and had everyone laughing the rest of the night!  I should mention that the people we were playing for were all parole officers, so  we had a lot of fun making jokes about them.

The Cubs Win at the Schaumburg Convention Center

We had a blast watching the Cubs beat the Indians at the Schaumburg Convention center.  What could have been a difficult show turned into a fun night for everyone.  If you want Felix and Fingers to entertain at your next big event, contact us today!
