If your fundraising event ideas need a little sparkle and panache, liven up your gala at the Radisson with our dueling piano show! Felix and Fingers are no strangers to the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center in Rockford, IL. Thus, we’ve performed many fundraisers at this venue, raising significant funds for various organizations. What is more, Stepping Stones offers a variety of mental health treatment interventions and access to 24-hour services. Our performers for the evening were Robert Deason and Michael Sherman. Since this was a gala event, the Stepping Stones anniversary fundraiser was held in the Waterford Ballroom. Not only is this an ideal room for hosting up to 450 guests, but the decor was jaw dropping. Nine Waterford crystal chandeliers will add just the right amount of sparkle to your event. It was great seeing familiar faces as experienced staff ensured every detail was perfect. Stepping Stones had beautiful centerpieces made of stones and flowers on all the tables. The Perfect Fundraiser
With a live artist event, guests are up and out of their chairs mingling. Actually, Felix and Fingers never really gave anyone a chance to sit down! From the moment guests arrived, our performers were championing a great cause with the inspirational song I’m So Excited by The Pointer Sisters. WE were EXCITED! To start with, cocktail hour had guests perusing an amazing array of silent auction items. Additionally, there were some really cool hand-painted inspirational stones!
Did we mention the Mayor of Rockford was there? It was an exciting moment when he declared it “Stepping Stones of Rockford Day” at this event! We loved playing upbeat background music for this special moment as clapping and cheering took the spotlight. Felix and Fingers didn’t waste time after awards riling up guests to spend money. Between introducing items and calling out dollar amounts our performers inspired guests to bid with songs such as Hustlin by Rick Ross!
Felix and Fingers knew dinner would indeed be spectacular. In fact, one of the best vegetarian meals Robert has ever tasted! Some of the residents who benefit from Stepping Stone have a theater group and a performance about the many facets of mental illness along with eliminating it’s stigma was embraced by all.
Our goal of $2,800.00 soon exceeded to $3K with the help of Aloe Blacc’s I Need a Dollar. Self explanatory. Fundraisers, that one’s for you. Mike bid on and won a fishing pole and tackle box! Above all, there was a local judge who was a friend of the organization. She also had a moving speech and won an award. We found out later that Mike outbid her on the fishing pole. Guess that’s the one that got away!
