Felix loves performing for rooftop weddings hence The Standard on State Wedding Event was a blast. This was not our first performance at The Standard. Everything about this Rockford, Illinois venue is perfect. Representing Felix for The Standard on State Wedding Event was our very own Katrina and Michael. Two powerhouse piano performers brought a show like no other to this posh wedding. Our players had a great time celebrating Amanda and Jaime’s (bride and groom) special day!

A Great Night of Dancing, Singing, and Surprises!
After a beautiful outdoor ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails with a WOW view of Rockford’s skyline and Rock River. During this time a surprise Mariachi band showed up to play. They were awesome! Everyone loved this fabulous Latin music and flair switch-up. The Mariachi band was so cool.
After a delicious dinner and dessert, The Standard on State Wedding Event crowd was ready to PARTY. No sooner than the last bite of cake, our pianos piled up with awesome requests. Katrina and Michael couldn’t resist starting with Despacito by Luis Fonsi. Our audience went nuts singing out loud during the chorus. Furthermore, Call Me Maybe by Carly Rae Jepsen was a hit of the night. Once again, a classic song with a great chorus. Katrina and Michael truly loved hearing everyone have a great time.
Above all, Felix received a ton of classic dueling piano requests. Which made us very HAPPY. Our performers couldn’t wait to bite into Livin’ on A Prayer by Bon Jovi. We had the crowd singing LOUD with this famous chorus. We also received a ton of requests for Brown Eyed Girl by Van Morrison. One of our favorites. As we kicked into the first few notes, our entire audience started singing and swaying on the dancefloor. From then on, Felix kept the dancefloor packed until the end of our gig! For our last stretch of an amazing dueling piano show, we DJ’d a mix of Latin and English songs. Everyone enjoyed our set. Felix made sure there was culture for everyone. Can we say another successful wedding in our books? Yes indeed!
