This Private Retirement Party was celebrated at a beautiful home in Dunlap, Illinois. Held at a partner’s house, it was a modest gathering, peaking 30 people enjoying food and drink, exchanging stories on how they knew the guest of honor. The home was located in Dunlap, Illinois. The Private Retirement Party was the perfect size for the home which was not astronomically too large, yet everyone attending, including Felix and Fingers along with their gear fit inside very nicely. Private Retirement Party Memories
While 30 or so guests arrived, Felix and Fingers started the private retirement party with some recorded DJ music. As guests moved about the spacious home they enjoyed appetizers and cocktails. The music turned into an all request show once the room was warmed up. Guest’s were treated to a special event by Dr. Stu’s partner, Geo’s daughter, who sang “Think of Me” from the Phantom for Dr. Stu. Geo’s daughter is a musical theatrical fanatic. Dr. Stu’s most favorite musical ever is The Phantom of the Opera! Greg from Felix and Fingers who was playing the private retirement party accompanied and got to sing a bit of “Think of Me” with Geo’s daughter after a speech for Dr. Stu was made.
A Groovy Evening
As the evening went on at the private retirement part for Dr. Stu, Felix and Fingers enjoyed playing song requests from the 60’s and 70’s. Many special requests from The Eagles and The Beach Boys were enjoyed and the crowd sang and danced into the night! Geo was so impressed with Greg’s performance from Felix and Fingers that he expressed great interest in having Felix and Fingers back! Geo stated “There should never be an excuse to have a celebration!” and is looking forward to Felix and Fingers performing at his next event! Felix and Fingers ended the evening with “One For My Baby (and one more for the road)”. This was a planned send of song for the guest of honor at his private retirement party.
